ID-verified Pros

Every beautician uploads a passport or driving licence before they go live. We check it manually — name, photo, expiry date, all of it. No automated checks. A human reviews every single application.

We don't publish Pros who haven't been through this process. There is no way around it — it's the baseline for every account. If there's any doubt, we reach out for more information before approving.

Insured Pros

Pros who upload valid public liability insurance earn a visible Insured badge on their profile — and customers can filter search results for insured Pros only.

Insurance is optional, but we strongly recommend it. If you're a Pro and don't have it yet, we can point you to providers who cover mobile beauty professionals at reasonable rates. An Insured badge also makes you more likely to be booked.

In-app safety button

Every active booking has a long-press safety button. Hold it for 3 seconds, confirm the prompt, and it calls 999 and sends your live location via SMS to the emergency contact you set on signup.

It works on both the customer's and the Pro's side. It connects to real emergency services — not a chat bot, not a support queue. You set your emergency contact when you sign up; you can update it any time.

It is not a gimmick. We built this because the people who use this platform — mobile beauty professionals and the clients they serve alone — deserve real protection, not a helpline that opens during business hours.

Real reviews only

Only customers who completed a booking can leave a review. No unverified reviews. No paid-for ratings. No fake testimonials. Every star on every profile was earned through a real booking.

Reviews are submitted through the app after the customer marks the job complete. Pros can reply to reviews. Neither side can delete a review — we can only remove one if it violates our community guidelines (hate speech, false accusations).

What happens if a Pro doesn't show up?

You receive a full refund automatically. If a Pro cancels within 2 hours of the appointment, you also receive a £5 rebooking credit. Pros who cancel receive a strike against their account. Three strikes triggers an account review. Genuine no-shows (no contact, no cancellation) are treated as the most serious breach and handled accordingly.

What if I feel unsafe during a booking?

Use the in-app safety button immediately. It calls 999 and shares your location. You can also contact support@prettymuchbooked.com. We treat safety reports as the highest priority — above all other support requests.

How do you verify ID documents?

Every Pro uploads a photo of their government-issued ID (passport or driving licence). Our team reviews each document manually — checking the name, photograph, and expiry date against the profile. We do not use automated OCR alone. A human makes the approval decision.

Can I filter for insured Pros only?

Yes. The Discover screen includes a filter for Insured Pros. Pros with valid public liability insurance earn a visible Insured badge on their profile.
